The Hygge Barn and Whiskey Forest homes have everything you will need for a comfortable stay. Guests have access to the entire home and everything the space has to offer.

  • Booking Terms & Policies
    Payment & Fees We require full payment at time of booking. Cleaning Fee: $150 Security Deposit: A $350 Security Deposit hold will be placed on your Credit Card 2 days prior to your arrival and will be released within 7 days after your departure as long as no damage was incurred by the guest. Cancellations Cancellations before 30 days of arrival will receive a refund of monies paid, less a booking fee of $125. Cancellations within 14 days of arrival, late arrival, or early departure receive no refund. If your dates are booked by another party, we will refund the nightly rate that the new guests paid minus any additional booking platform fees . No refund will be provided for nights that we were not able to rebook. All cancellations must be in writing and are irreversible. We highly suggest purchasing travel insurance to protect yourself against unforeseen reasons for cancellation. Natural Disaster & Unforeseen Circumstance There are no refunds for natural disasters or other major events that are out of our control. We highly encourage you to purchase trip insurance to cover your stay in case of a natural disaster or other major event. Depending on the type of trip insurance you purchase, you are usually eligible to be reimbursed by the insurance company for the amount that we do not refund.
  • Rental Agreement & House Rules
    All rules must be followed to avoid immediate eviction and termination of rental with no refund. - Maximum of 4 guests total are permitted for Hygge Barn and max 4 adults and 2 children for Whiskey Forest. - Must be at least 25 years old to rent and must stay in the property every night of the booked dates. - Check-in: After 4:00 PM - Checkout: 10:00 AM - Self check-in with keypad - No smoking - No pets - No parties or events, maximum 2 cars allowed - Neighborhood quiet hours 10pm-9am - No shoes in the house Additional rules: SECURITY CAMERAS: We have 24/7 video/audio security cameras on the exterior of property. They are located on the front porch (facing the driveway and showing front porch and stairs). These are security cameras focused on the entryways and designed to maintain privacy while enjoying our home. GUESTS: Only the guests on the confirmed Airbnb reservation are allowed on the property / in the cabin. Extra guests must be approved by owners in advance of the reservation and are subject to additional fees. PETS: At this time, we are not accepting pets. CLEANING FEE: The cleaning fee covers normal turnover cleaning (e.g. bedding and laundry turn over, surfaces, floors, snow removal, etc.). Additional cleaning fees may be incurred for excessive mess (e.g. excessive dishes, pet hair on the furniture/beds, etc) PHOTO / VIDEO SHOOTS: Our home is not to be used for photo / video shoots without approval by owners in advance of the reservation and are subject to additional fees. WINTER SNOW SEASON: During the winter snow season the West Shore of Lake Tahoe can see a very large snow accumulation. 4 wheel drive vehicles are highly recommended. We have a driveway plow service that comes every snowfall (of 6 inches or more) to clear the driveway, and a shoveling service to clear pathways prior to your arrival. Please note that snowfall can continue to accumulate between shoveling service and your arrival. Shoveling service is not provided mid-stay, however we do provide shovels and de-icing salt for your use if necessary. If heavy snowfall happens during your stay and additional shoveling help is necessary, please give us a call and we may be able to arrange some assistance for an extra fee. Due to heavy snow accumulation in the area, the decks are not completely cleared and only pathway access is maintained. Please be patient as the snow removal services work to clear both county roads and driveways. There is no street parking allowed.
